Why did Russia win? They weren't that great!!!

I think Greece should've won, that song was pretty cool. So was Israel and Serbia for that matter.

Hnnn, Spain sucked as did France (even tho he generally sings well...)

I wonder if i was the only one who watched it?

Also: what was with Ireland's singing turkey thing...

Apparently they're in Europe.. XD *only found this out yesterday*. I've not heard them all yet but I quite like the Serbian and Finnish entries so far.. The Azarbaijan song is probably the worst I've heard yet.. and I've listened to Ireland's turkey song.. XD

EUROVISION 2008

I haven't watched the contest live on TV but I watched some youtube videos now and I don't think I've missed much...
The Azerbaijan song wa really strange... but at least it was somehow hm, special? funny? The No angels song for germany was simply boring. (In gemany we call that 'the kind of music that doesn't disturb the housewife while ironing'^^)

The russia song was okay but nothing great, I don't like this guy's voice. The greece song reminds me too much of singers like Britney Spears (except the folk music parts which didn't really fit in), but the three background guys were quite cool^^
Spain surely was strange, France was funny because of the background singers...I haven't seen all and I think I've seen enough *sighs*

I liked the finnish song but it wasn't so good as Lordi was a few years ago.

Hmm, the results from the previous years show that it doesn't always help to sing in your mother tongue. For example I really liked the song by Roger Cicero for germany last year, the text is very good but if you don't speak german he is just a guy in a white suit and hat singing a little swing music that you don't understand...you know what i mean?

By the way, Ireland's turkey song is probably the strangest performance I've ever seen in the Eurovision song contest but it's funny and original^^

oh yeah, the transgender-discoball XD 7 7 allulu, 7 7 1 2, 77 allulu, 1 2 3, TANZEN! That was really amusing

Roger cicero last year...well I am not into swing that much, I did not like Texas Lightning the year before either. What I really Loved was Ruslana, the ukrainian winner from...I think 3 or 4 years ago, "wild dances" was just so really cool, I had to get it onto my MP3 player.

Oh yeah, the uraine performance was really strange and the german songtext was so stupid^^

I also liked Ruslana, Thaliel. That was the first time I thought germany could have a chance again if they'd send a band like Rammstein

I don't like Rammstein, they're utterly strange ^.^
Whom I would prefer would be someone like Seeed or Culcha Candela....or a good solo singer with a catchy title.

Rammstein are a bit strange but they are very popular in eastern europe, from where it is hard to get any points for germany. And they make a great show with all the pyro stuff. But I don't think they would participate in a contest like the Eurovision SC.
Seed would be cool, too.
